What is Pearl Papillon? "Papillon" is the French word for butterfly, and a pearl is a gemstone that forms organically over time. Both are symbols of profound transformation and creativity. 

My fascination with jewelry began at a young age when my grandmother introduced me to her collection. As I grew older, I experimented with beaded jewelry and mixed media techniques to create my own accessories. Once in college, serendipity presented me with the chance to enroll in a metalsmithing class—and the rest is history. As someone who has long struggled with depression and anxiety, jewelry making has been a therapeutic and transformative process, helping me to grow as a person and connect more deeply with the world around me. 

I’ve worked as a repair jeweler for some time, but with encouragement from my beloved husband, I took the plunge and decided to focus on art jewelry. Now, as a husband-and-wife team of artisans, our hope is to share our creativity with the world and bring joy to others by doing what we love.
